Acquisitions and more Acquisitions

A lot of acquisitions plans have been happening in the recent past and the latest of all is that Microsoft is acquiring advertising network aQuantive Inc for $6 billion in an all cash deal. Microsoft plans to build an internet wise advertising platform for advertisers, publishers and ad agencies. Do take a look at the presspass in the Microsoft website. Microsoft was trying to enter this space when they lost Double click to Google. The deal was worth $3.1 billion and Google grabbed it away from Microsoft's hands.

This comes after the much hyped $50 billion acquisition of Yahoo by MS the progress of which is not completely known.
